What is Shopo?

Shopo is a multi-tenant e-commerce SaaS website builder. You sign up, create a store, and get a hosted storefront on a free subdomain (<yourstore>.shopo.site) or your own custom domain — no hosting, no code, no plugins to maintain.

Every store comes with its own products, categories, orders, theme, team members, footer, pages, and blog. You manage everything from the owner dashboard, and your customers shop on the storefront you designed.

Free to start

Every new store gets a 3-day Pro trial with no card required. After the trial you can stay on the Free plan or upgrade to Pro for $15/month.

Create your store

  1. Sign up at /auth/sign-up with email + OTP, or with Google. One account can be a store owner, an invited editor, and a storefront customer across different stores.
  2. Open the store creation wizard at /create-store. Pick a store name — this becomes your free subdomain.
  3. Your store is created with a 3-day Pro trial, default legal pages (Terms, Privacy, Refund, About), and a starter theme.
  4. You land in the dashboard, ready to add products and customize your storefront.

Store limit

A single owner account can own up to 3 stores. You can switch between them from the store switcher in the dashboard sidebar.

Dashboard overview

The dashboard is organized into these areas:

  • Products & Categories — your catalog.
  • Orders & Customers — sales and who bought.
  • Theme — design your storefront (themes, colors, navbar, pages, footer).
  • Pages — per-store content pages & blog.
  • Analytics & SEO — grow your store.
  • Team — invite editors.
  • Billings — your Pro subscription.
  • Settings — store details, custom domain, footer contact info.

Products & variants

Go to Dashboard → Products to add or edit products. Each product has images, a price, stock, optional shipping & warranty, and up to two variant types.

Variants

  • Variant type is one of Color, Size, or Other.
  • Up to 2 variant types per product.
  • Each variant combo carries its own price/stock in the priceStock table.

Limits

Max 8 images per product, 3 MB per image. On the Free plan you can publish up to 10 products; Pro removes the limit entirely.

Categories

Dashboard → Category lets you group products. A category can have an optional banner and image, which appear in the storefront's featured categories strip. Categories are deleted along with their store.

Import products (AliExpress)

Shopo integrates with AliExpress so you can pull products into your catalog without re-typing them. Connect your account from the AliExpress import flow and authorize access; imported products land in your Products list where you can edit pricing, images, and variants before publishing.

Optional

AliExpress import is optional. You can always add products manually from the Products page.

Themes

Dashboard → Theme is a single page where you pick a theme, upload your store logo, and edit each section (hero, navbar, categories, product grid) with a live preview.

Shopo ships four themes, all bundles of section variants:

  • dawn — clean, full-bleed.
  • pulse — padded, rounded, double navbar.
  • aurora — pulse navbar + dawn hero + categories + pulse product grid + floating cart.
  • mono — dawn navbar + pulse hero + categories + dawn product grid.

Premium theme

The pulse theme requires a Pro plan. The other themes are available on every plan, including Free.

Colors & buttons

Under Theme → Colors & Text you set two fields: Button color and Button text color. These drive the storefront's primary-action buttons — Add to Cart, Buy Now, Confirm Order, and selected variant chips.

Page background is always white

The storefront page is always white so your products pop. Your chosen colors only recolor the primary buttons. If you leave the button color unset (or pick white/black), buttons default to Shopo's emerald green so they stay visible.

Under Theme → Navbar you pick up to 3 page-links to show in your storefront navbar. Home is always shown and fixed to / — it isn't stored.

  • Links are picked from your published (non-blog) pages.
  • A built-in Blog link is available if you publish blog posts.
  • Both navbar layouts split Home + the first link to the left of the search bar, and the remaining links to the right.

Pages & blog

Dashboard → Pages is one editor for both regular pages and blog posts (a post is just a page with the blog toggle on).

  • Regular pages live at /<slug> (e.g. /about).
  • Blog posts live at /blog/<slug> and are listed on your /blog page.
  • Each page has SEO title/description, a publish toggle, and a rich-text editor.
  • New stores are seeded with 4 default pages (TOS, Privacy, Refund, About). Once you have at least one page, you're in full control — deleting a default page is permanent.

Reserved slugs

You can't use reserved slugs like products, search, cart, checkout, account, blog, track-order, or api — they're reserved for built-in routes.

Your storefront footer shows your contact information and social links, plus an Information column that auto-populates from your published pages and shows a Blog link only when you have at least one published blog post. Edit contact details under Settings.

Orders

Dashboard → Orders lists every order with its status, items, customer, and total. Order statuses are:

  • pending — placed, awaiting fulfillment.
  • completed — fulfilled / paid.
  • cancelled — voided.
  • payment_failed — payment didn't go through.

You receive in-app notifications and a transactional email when a new order arrives.

Checkout & customer accounts

Customers can check out as a guest or create a quick account on your store. A customer account lets them track orders and re-order, and links their past guest orders to their profile on sign-in.

  • Customer sign-up/sign-in lives at /account/sign-up and /account/sign-in on your storefront.
  • The same Clerk account works across stores, so a shopper doesn't need a new password for each Shopo store.

Track order

The /track-order page on your storefront lets customers look up an order. Signed-in customers are redirected to their /account/orders page; guests can look up an order with their email and phone number.

Customers

Dashboard → Customers lists everyone who has ordered from you — registered customers and guests — with order counts, total spent, and a Copy all emails button for your own marketing outreach.

Pro subscription (Creem)

Your Shopo Pro subscription ($15/month, billed in USD) is sold and billed through Creem, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Creem handles the checkout, taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax), and chargebacks for the subscription.

  • Auto-renewal. Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billings or the Creem portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep Pro until then.
  • No refunds for partially used periods.

Storefront payouts (Stripe)

When a customer buys from your storefront, the payment is processed by Stripe and paid directly to your own connected Stripe account. The money never passes through Shopo, and Shopo is not a party to your storefront sales.

Two separate systems

Creem handles your Shopo Pro subscription (you → Shopo). Stripe Connect handles your storefront order payouts (customer → you). They don't touch each other.

Connect your Stripe account from Dashboard → Settings. You are responsible for fulfilling orders, handling returns/refunds, and remitting any applicable taxes on your storefront sales.

Domains & subdomains

Every store gets a free subdomain (<yourstore>.shopo.site). On Pro you can also connect a custom domain you already own.

  • Request a custom domain from Dashboard → Settings. The request is tracked until it's approved and your DNS is configured.
  • Once connected, your storefront is reachable from both the subdomain and the custom domain.

SEO

Dashboard → Marketing → SEO lets you set search-engine metadata for your store. You can also set a per-page SEO title and description when editing individual pages and blog posts.

Analytics

Dashboard → Analytics shows per-store visitor analytics — sessions, device, browser, OS, referrer, and time on site — alongside product analytics so you can see what sells and where traffic comes from.

Team & invitations

Dashboard → Team lets you invite teammates by email. Roles are:

  • Admin — full access, including billing & subscription management.
  • Editor — can manage products, orders, theme, and content, but can't manage billing.

Invitations expire

Invitations expire after 7 days. The invited teammate must sign in with the exact email you invited.

Free vs Pro

Free — up to 10 products, all themes except pulse, free subdomain. After the 3-day trial ends without a Pro subscription, the storefront becomes unavailable to visitors until you upgrade.

Pro ($15/month) — unlimited products, all themes, custom domains, analytics, SEO tools, email invoicing, unlimited users, and email & phone support.

Trial = full Pro access

During your 3-day trial you get every Pro feature. The trial isn't a paid subscription — you can still upgrade anytime from the Billings page.

Manage your subscription

Dashboard → Billings shows your current plan, a renewal/next-charge date, your billing history, and the buttons to upgrade, open the Creem customer portal, or cancel. Only store admins can manage billing; editors see a read-only note.
